Aquilegia  Canadensis - Wild Columbine

Wild Columbine is one of the first plants to provide nectar in the spring for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The colorful flowers are red flowing into yellow. Besides being an early bloomer, Columbine will tolerate a large range of soil and sun types, so you'll have success with it in full sun as well as shade. It can grow in pine tree areas and is deer resistant.

Asclepias Tuberosa - Butterfly Weed

This hardy perennial plays a vital role in supporting native pollinators. Its nectar-rich flowers attract a wide range of insects, including native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Agastache Foeniculum - Anise Hyssop

Many bees and butterflies visit to feed on the nectar and pollen rich blooms.  Hummingbirds will also visit as well as song birds when the flowers go to seed.

One of the most important species for Monarch Butterflies in the Northeast. Monarchs lay their eggs on this plant

Liatris Spicata - Dense Blazing Star

Liatris spicata is native to moist meadows and marsh margins and a popular choice for butterfly gardens, water feature margins, rain gardens, and naturalized moist gardens. Butterflies, bees and hummingbirds all visit this plant, and it is a host plant for the rare Glorious Flower Moth.
